The National Kitchen & Bath Association drew 10 top design trends from its recent design competition entries. We were excited to see that detailed ceilings made it in the top 10, and NKBA used an example by Klaff’s Danbury designer Jodi Hook to demonstrate the trend. This is how NKBA described the design:
“The rough-hewn barn beam ceiling is beautifully detailed, and although the detail was newly created, it appears as if original to a comfort-worn space. The ceiling is highlighted by cable-strung lighting, which lights the textures and natural intricacies of the rough wood, bringing intimacy to the elongated space.”
Plus, this rustic kitchen brings in another trend as well: texture. With traditional architecture and modern finishes, it also beautifully blends design styles for a cohesive finished look. Stop by one of the Klaff’s showrooms to see all of our kitchen design offerings.
