Back in May, we told you about some of the bathroom design trends that the NKBA drew from its design competition earlier this year. Since it’s important for us to keep up with the latest design trends, we definitely took note of Elle Décor’s recent Bathroom Trend Report. Below you’ll find some of the newest trends in bathroom design, as reported to Elle Décor by some of the industry’s experts.
- Bathrooms are being designed and decorated with better care, much like the care and attention to detail you would see in other rooms of the home. Luxurious bathrooms with amenities like music, furniture, textiles, and refrigerators are more common.
- The minimalist look is in, with cleaner lines and warmer, more traditional finishes like bronze. There has been a recent shift toward the removal of hardware, replaced by built-in handles for a much cleaner look.
- There is also a movement toward making bathrooms more personal spaces. Designs are incorporating more natural elements that help people feel at ease.
